Hiiii! My name is Emalyn

I am so excited to help plan your day and bring your vision to life, and get to know you as a new friend! Lets adventure together!

I am blessed to call the beautiful PNW home, born in Oregon and raised in Washington. There is plenty to explore in the PNW, but I am also eager to see more of Gods creation around the world while capturing your stories. So lets go adventure in your dream destinations!
When I am not behind my camera, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, hiking, creating art, traveling, being around those I love, and watching rom-coms.
Aside from photography, I have also been in school for ASL interpreting with a goal of working with Deaf children someday. I have always loved working with kids, and was originally going to college for elementary ED, but that is a closed chapter. Now I plan on trying to balance my passions of ASL and Photography. With that being said, while I am not fluent, I aim to make my photo services as accessible as possible for the Deaf community.
Lastly, but most importantly, I love Jesus and wouldn't be where I am today without my faith. My ultimate purpose on this earth is to glorify the one who made me, and share his love to those around me in everything I do! I want to give grace to everyone and treat all my clients as people created in the image of God, equals and friends.

I love the look of film and movie stills, so I try to incorporate a similar feel and look into my images. My elopements and sessions are a mix between candid moments, and well thought out prompts. I aim to plan more with my clients to create personal and unique movie-like stills. This requires more time to explore, thought out locations, outfits, mood boards, props, music, and more! I love to include your hobbies and interests in your day. This could range from hiking, swimming, riding bikes, playing card/board games, picnics, painting, you name it! If you are not sure what you want to do for your day yet, do not worry! I have so many ideas to share and we will work together on the details. I cannot wait to get to know you personally and create art that speaks YOU!
My identity is in christ, and this identity shines through my artwork by how I view the world. Gods character, as well as his creative eye in how he created the nature (and you!) is what truly inspires me. He is the most amazing artist and my greatest inspiration!

Hiking up a mountain or a coastal area
Food: Pickles, Thai food, soups, spicy chips (if my fingers are red, you'll know why), sweet tea
Painting!!
Staying up late - I am always more productive at night

Anything that gives me a positive adrenaline rush (want to sky dive so badly!)
Lists (as someone with ADHD, my notes app is my bestie)
Fav time of the year: Christmas season or any time the weather is in the 70's and partially cloudy!
Kittens
Naps on the beach (waves are so relaxing)

Food: Tomatoes (love salsa tho), mushrooms, sushi and most sea food (may get hate for this)
Chewing with your mouth open... lol
Reading... I really do not mind but cannot finish a book for the life of me
Horror movies (but I enjoy true and fictional crime & some trillers)

Pumpkin (ok calm down I do not hate it... but I would never intentionally buy a pumpkin candle, pie, or drink)
